A 55-minute recorded webinar on the topic of Implicit Bias. It will include an overview of how the concepts of stigma and implicit bias affect people with mental illness and their families, along with a discussion of healthcare disparities affected by non-inclusive implicit bias and stigma that are multiplied for some diverse communities in northern Michigan. It will also include an examination of short and long-term personal effects of stigma and implicit bias as well as strategies to transform the medical model to include a collaborative approach.
