  • Describe data in the State of Nursing in Kansas report (2024) related to supply-side information about nurses in Kansas compared to those in the entire United States, including the: demographics of nurses in Kansas, employment status and retirement of RNs and LPNs/LVNs, and reasons for unemployment of RNs and LPNs/LVNs.
  • Utilize the information, research, and data in the State of Nursing in Kansas report (2024) to support decisions related to strategic planning for recruitment and retention of nurses.

This webinar was originally offered in January 2025 by KU Medical Center's Kansas Nursing Workforce Center. This webinar is focused on exploring the State of Nursing in Kansas Report (2024). It examines supply-side data on nursing demographics, employment trends, retirement, and reasons for unemployment among RNs and LPNs/LVNs in Kansas compared to national averages. Participants will learn how to apply this data to strategic planning for nurse recruitment and retention efforts across the state.
