Measles, once considered nearly eradicated in the United States, is making a resurgence. This session will provide an in-depth look at the 2025 measles outbreak in Texas, examining its transmission, clinical presentation, and impact on public health. Participants will gain insights into the factors contributing to the outbreak, the importance of early diagnosis, and best practices for prevention. By reviewing current epidemiological data and evidence-based prevention strategies, this lecture will equip healthcare providers with the tools to identify, manage, and prevent measles infections in their communities.
  • This session meets Texas Administrative Code requirements for 1 continuing education credit for Licensed Marriage and Family therapy, Licensed Professional Counselors, and Licensed Clinical Social Workers.
